Welcome to the Institution of Engineering and Technology Archives blog.

In addition to cataloguing our collections and making these descriptions available in our online catalogue, the Archives team wish to increase the accessibility and visibility of these collections via this blog.

Our blog posts highlight collections used when answering enquiries, assisting researchers, and working on projects. We also use blogs to highlight new acquisitions to the Archives; our collections are growing all the time! We try to include a different angle on the material so that we do not just provide a formal description, but rather a story in which the collections are an integral part.

We aim to write a new blog once a fortnight and hope to include guest bloggers and interviews with researchers in the future.

We hope you enjoy reading these articles and look forward to reading your comments.

Please visit the IET Archives website where you can find more information on our history, popular subjects, family history, online exhibitions, and contact details. You can also follow us on Twitter @IETLibArch and view images from the collections via our Pinterest boards.
